As an artist, I aim to express life. I hope to capture the elements that can move and transform us. 
Whether in abstract or realistic forms, I want to tell the story, capture the magical moment and thus transform

Bio
Seda B. Saar is a Los Angeles–based artist whose practice explores light, color, perception, and the relationship between architecture and human experience. Working across painting, sculpture, and installation, she combines pigmented acrylic, mirrored acrylic, reflective materials, and optical surfaces to create works that transform with the movement of the viewer and the changing light of the day.
Her ongoing Spacelines series reinterprets Southern California's iconic modernist architecture—including the Eames House, Stahl House, LAX Theme Building, and lifeguard towers—as studies of light itself. Rather than documenting buildings, these works investigate how architecture bends, reflects, and frames light, shaping our perception of space and place.
Rooted in the legacy of California's Light and Space movement while informed by her background in architectural and experiential design, Saar extends these ideas beyond the gallery into civic and public environments.
Her public commissions include Pacific Passage at San Diego International Airport (2025–2026) and Celestial Blueprints for Hollywood Burbank Airport (2026). Her work is held in public and private collections in Japan, Armenia, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Saar is the 2026–2027 Artist-in-Residence at Camera Obscura Art Lab in Santa Monica.

Los Angeles, CA – The Billboard Creative (TBC) is pleased to announce its 10 Year Anniversary Installation, a month-long exhibition curated by Mona Kuhn that turns billboard advertising spaces into an open-air art exhibition for all Angelenos. This landmark event will take place from April 1 to April 30, 2024 across various neighborhoods in Los Angeles, transforming the cityscape into a vibrant, open-air gallery.
In the spirit of TBC's mission to weave art into the fabric of everyday life, the selected works span all mediums, offering a compelling glimpse into the creative pulse of contemporary art outside the conventional gallery setting.
